About programme
 
In the period from 2021 to 2027, the Horizon Europe programme fluently follows the Horizon 2020 programme, the largest and most important programme financing projects in the field of science, research  and Innovation in the European Union in the 2014 - 2020 programme period.
 

Pillars of Horizon Europe:                                                                                                       

Pillar 1Excellent Science aims to strengthen and expand the excellence of the scientific base of the European Union (EU) and continue to support frontier research projects through European Research Council (ERC) instruments, Marie Skłodowska – Curie Actions (MSCA) and measures aimed at the development and use of research infrastructures;

Pillar 2Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness supports industrial technologies and industrial transformation. Internally, it consists of 6 clusters, several planned partnerships and research-innovation missions;

Pillar 3 Innovative Europe supports breakthrough solutions that contribute to building innovation-friendly markets and ecosystems via the European Innovation Council (EIC), actions within the European Innovation Ecosystems and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
