University of Prešov Hosts an Ongoing International Working Meeting of the Q‑Helix Alliance

On 4–5 May 2026, the University of Prešov  is actively hosting an international working meeting of representatives of the Q‑Helix – The Inclusive European University Alliance, reaffirming its role as a committed partner within the European University Alliances initiative.

The University of Prešov has welcomed representatives from the following partner institutions:

  • WSB University (Poland)
  • Reutlingen University (Germany)
  • Titu Maiorescu University (Romania)
  • The Public International Business College Mitrovica – IBCM (Kosovo)
  • ISPGAYA – Instituto Superior Politécnico de Gaya (Portugal)
  • Dnipro University of Technology (Ukraine)
  • Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (Ukraine)
Other partner members of the alliance participated in the discussions online:
  • EPHEC University College (Belgium)
  • University of Artois (France)
  • European Humanities University (Lithuania)

The meeting focuses on the coordination of joint activities in the field of quality assurance in higher education and research, as well as on the further development of structured cooperation within the framework of the European University Alliances initiative. Particular attention is being devoted to the strategic development of the Q‑Helix Alliance, the preparation of joint documents, and the effective alignment of activities across partner institutions.

The programme of the first day addresses recent developments in European University Alliances, building on the outcomes of meetings held in Brussels, and reviews the activities of the Q‑Helix International Center for Quality in Education and Research. Key topics include quality assurance frameworks, research mobility schemes, thematic schools, and the preparation of joint project proposals within the Horizon Europe programme.

The second day is dedicated to practical cooperation formats, including the development of Collaborative Online International Learning (COILs), thematic learning pathways, staff secondments, and micro‑credential schemes. The programme also includes expert training focused on the preparation of Horizon Europe proposals specifically designed for European University Alliances.

Through its active hosting role and substantive contribution to the programme, the University of Prešov demonstrates its strong engagement in shaping the European Higher Education Area, promoting collaboration, quality enhancement, and an inclusive approach to education and research.
