Project title: Modernisation of ICT and infrastructure of the University of Presov

Length of the project: 24 months 
 

Aim of the project: by improving quality of education by modernisation of didactic environment and by creating ICT networks and material infrastructure, contribute to regional competitiveness; improving and making educational process more effective by integration of information and communication technologies, modernisation of lodging capacities by integration of information and communication technologies, modernisation of material infrastructure of the university objects (reconstruction of lavatories, windows and electrical networks), reconstruction of material infrastructure of lodging capacities (reconstruction of windows and glass panes)

The activities of the project will result in installation of Wi-Fi network in 11 objects of the University of Presov, in installation and configuration of active network elements for new computer network, and in complex modernisation of current old network elements in 11 objects of the University of Presov too. Other old networks in 7 objects of the University of Presov will be modernised and new computer networks will be installed as well. 165 seminar, lecture and specialised classrooms at the university will be equipped with modern didactic and ICT technology, including Internet connection. Old university entrance door will be replaced by steel emergency exits, as well as 10 windows and 57 large glass panes on the ground floor and 13 existing, morally and physically worn lavatories for ladies and gentlemen. The activities of the project will also result in the replacement of old windows and glass panes on the Halls of Residences by new ones, in total number of 470.
