     Attendance information system of the University of Prešov

  1. Basic information:
    PU attendance information system has been in operation since March 1, 2010. The supplier of the system is the company Atos IT Solutions and Services s.r.o. Bratislava, and the new generation iCard attendance system is deployed on the university grounds.

  2. Principle of operation:
    Employees register their arrivals, departures and interruptions of working hours with a chip card (PU employee card) at attendance terminals located at designated locations in PU facilities. Scanned data is stored on the server in a database and can be accessed with a regular personal computer via a web application. For each employee, it is possible to easily track attendance, hours worked, used vacation, sickness, overtime, time spent on business trips, and the like. Various reports can be created from the data. After processing the monthly statement, the attendance data is integrated into the SAP payroll system.

  3. Main goals:
    - use of attendance terminals for quick and accurate records of workers' attendance,
    - simple scanning with contactless chip cards,
    - elimination of manual writing of attendance books and letters,
    - accurate record of times of arrivals, departures and shift interruptions,
    - absence planning (vacation, business trip etc.) on the terminal or via a web application,
    - a simple way to correct possible erroneous data captures,
    - an immediate overview of the presence of employees at the workplace, of the occupation of the work shift,
    - increasing the efficiency of work,
    - updating the method of evaluating attendance based on legislative changes,
    - transparency and simplification of the work of personnel, payroll and managers,
    - minimizing the number of paper documents,
    - obtaining unambiguous and accurate documents for processing wages,
    - integration of attendance data into the SAP payroll system,
    - authorized processing of documents for wages and shortening their processing time.
