The username /login/ has the form
ppppppm000 ,where:

pppppp – the first 6 letters of the user's last name (lowercase letters without diacritics),
m – the first letter of the first name (lowercase letter without diacritics),
000 – a counter with the initial value "001".

An example of a username for Petr Lipták is: liptakp001.

Note:
- If the user's last name is shorter than 6 letters, only the letters of the last name will be used. Additional characters of the login will be completed according to the rule, so the login will be shorter than 10 characters. For example Ján Nový – novyj001.
- If the surname consists of several words, the first 6 characters of the first word of the surname are inserted into the login. For example Ján Al Nový – alj001.
- If the last name contains a hyphen and it is in a position of up to 6 characters, the part of the last name after the hyphen is used in the login. Additional characters of the login will be completed according to the rule, so the login will be shorter than 10 characters. For example Simona Šíp-Veselá – sips001.
- In case of the same usernames for several users, the numbering at the end serves to distinguish them - a counter with the initial value "001". For example Ján Novák – novakj001, Jozef Novák – novakj002, Jaroslav Novák – novakj003, etc.

For persons who have been an employee or student at PU since 1/2/2012 (even for a short period), the user name /login/ - to the IDM user portal, the MAIS system, the Internet at ŠD and the eduroam WiFi network remains unchanged.

Password  -a password generated by the system will be sent to the 1st year PU student by private email contact (from the application form). Data delivery takes place from mid-June, it is also necessary to monitor the Spam folder.

If you have already studied at PU in the past and are entering the 1st year again, the IDM system will restore your original login data, but will no longer send the information email . Students who registered before September 15, 2021 will request a new password from the IDM system administrator. Students who signed in after 15/9/2021 use the same password as when they last signed in.

After 3 unsuccessful attempts, access to the portal and all integrated systems (currently MAIS, eduroam WiFi network, internet on ŠD and from 20.9.2021 also Microsoft 365) will be blocked for a certain time.

At the next login, the last password set (in the IDM portal) remains valid. Changing the password is only possible through the IDM portal.

In case of problems with login, it is necessary to contact the IDM administrator by email at  sprava-idm@unipo.sk . In the text of the email message, always include: first name, last name, faculty, information on whether you are a student or an employee and your username for the IDM portal (the same as the login name used in the MAIS system or for accessing the eduroam WiFi network).
