M.Sc. Graduate profile:
The graduate of the Master's degree is able to creatively, independently solve problems of biological research and practical tasks of applied biological research. He/she has knowledge and skills related to modern methods of research of living systems at different levels of their organization from molecules through cells, organisms, populations to ecosystems. Graduates have knowledge of biological science disciplines such as molecular biology, genetics, cytology, plant, animal and human physiology, botany, zoology, human biology, microbiology, biotechnology, ecology and others. Based on the knowledge acquired from several chemical and frontier science disciplines, they will be able to use the methods learned from these disciplines in solving practical problems.
Definition of the graduate's field of application:
Graduates of the Master's degree will be employed at workplaces with a biological focus, in research teams, in independent scientific research work at the workplaces of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, departmental research institutes of agriculture, forestry, food science, health, environment and universities. They are able to work in specialized institutions requiring field work, environmentally-ecologically oriented workplaces, they will apply in the state and private sector with biologically oriented research and practice.
Graduates have the opportunity to continue in the 3rd level of study - the doctoral programme in Anthropology.

M.Sc. Graduate profile:
A graduate of the second cycle of university studies in the field of teaching of academic subjects is qualified to be a teacher of subjects belonging to his/her specialisation at the level of lower and secondary education. He/she is proficient in the basic content, methodology and epistemology of the disciplines of his/her subject specialisation. He/she is familiar with the theoretical and practical contexts of the didactics of his/her field of specialisation, in particular with regard to the design of teaching in the classroom. At the same time, the graduate is familiar with the ways of using information and communication technologies in education. At the same time, the graduate possesses practical skills: he/she independently designs and implements the teaching of relevant subjects at the level of lower and upper secondary education, is able to adapt educational programmes in the relevant disciplines to the specific conditions of pupils, school class and school type, is able to effectively support the development of information literacy of pupils.

- Methodologist for teaching specific subjects and subject groups,
- specialised employee of the state administration for the field of education and training in primary and secondary schools.
