National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic - Applicants

 

Every year, the Faculty of Humanities and Natural Sciences receives a high number of applications from international researchers, teachers, and students applying for the National Scholarship Programme or other programmes. Therefore, before we prepare an invitation letter, we kindly ask all potential applicants to carefully follow the instructions below. This information will help us assess the suitability of each applicant for acceptance into our departments.

 

Instructions and required documents for students:  

 

All students who are interested in studying at our faculty must complete the Application form, which includes the following mandatory attachments: 

  1. A confirmation letter from the university where the applicant is currently studying with the relevant signature and stamp (the confirmation should contains the student status at the university and the programme of study), 
  2. A list of at least two teachers (full names, e-mail addresses, affiliations) that can give the relevant recommendation for the applicant, 
  3. Confirmation of English language level (certificate from language school, English language exams, etc.), 
  4. A list of the subjects that the applicant would like to study at our faculty/university (https://www.unipo.sk/en/faculty-of-humanities-and-natural-sciences/international-relations/LIST-COURSES/).  

 

 

Instructions and required documents for researchers/teachers/ PhD. students:  

 

Researchers, teachers, and PhD students who are interested in obtaining an acceptance letter from our institution must first directly contact their prospective supervisor or programme coordinator, with whom they intend to conduct scientific activities. A brief description of the research activities at our university (research focus and profiles of our researchers) can be found on https://www.unipo.sk/en/faculty-of-humanities-and-natural-sciences/departments/). 

When contacting members of the departments, we highly recommend include documents that may help the researcher/ teacher assess the suitability of the research topic and support the decision on acceptance into the programme. These documents may include:

  1. CV with the applicants research expertise, 
  2. A list of at least two teachers/professors (full names, e-mail addresses, affiliations) that can give the relevant recommendation for the applicant, 
  3. A list of the applicants publications, 
  4. A letter from the university confirming the position and status at the university of the applicant, 
  5. Confirmation of English language level (certificate from language school, English language exams, etc.).

 

Please note, that it is advisable to apply (students only) and send the necessary documents in sufficient time before the grant deadlines to review and issue an acceptance letter.
