How to reach us

By car
The Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov, is located on the former main road from Poprad to Košice, passing through the city of Prešov.

By train or bus
Train and bus connections can be found on this website. Some buses stop directly on the university campus at the bus stop called Prešovská univerzita (University of Prešov).

From the main station
In Prešov, the main train and bus stations are next to each other, connected by an underpass. Taxi stands are located near both stations.

If you arrive in Prešov by train or bus, the easiest way to reach Ulica 17. novembra (17th November Street) is by trolleybus No. 38 (direction: Sídlisko III). The ride takes about 5 minutes, so you only need a basic 10-minute ticket, available from the ticket machine at the stop or via SMS. Board on the side of the bus station and get off at the second stop, Prešovská univerzita. See the timetable for trolleybus No. 38.

f you prefer to walk from the main station (about 20 minutes), follow the same route as trolleybus No. 38, shown on the previous map.

You can also reach the city center quickly (about 5 minutes) from the station by taking one of the many buses (e.g., No. 1, 4, or 8), departing from the stop on the side of the bus station. From the center (Divadlo Jonáša Záborského or Na Hlavnej bus stops), our faculty is about a 10-minute walk.

From the Prešov mesto train station

When traveling by train, you can also get off at the Prešov mesto station, commonly called the “small station.” Some trains from Kysak terminate at the main station, in which case you will need to transfer to a train heading to Lipany—its very first stop is Prešov mesto.

From this station, the route to the faculty (shown on the following map) is straightforward and takes only a few minutes on foot. Alternatively, you can walk a short distance along Požiarnická Street and then turn left onto 17. Novembra Street, where our faculty is located.
