How to reach us

When traveling by car, Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov is situated on the former main road from Poprad to Košice through the city of Prešov.

Train and bus connections can be found on this website. Some buses stop directly in the university campus at a bus stop called Prešovská univerzita (University of Prešov).

 

From the main station

In Prešov, main train and bus stations are situated next to each other, connected by an underpass. There are taxi stands near both stations.

Arriving in Prešov by train or bus, the easiest way to get to Ulica 17. novembra (17th November Street) is by regularly running trolleybus No. 38 (towards its final stop Sídlisko III). The journey takes about 5 minutes, so you only need a basic, 10-minute travel ticket, which you can buy from the machine at the bus stop (or use an SMS ticket). Get on the side of the bus station and get off at the 2nd stop called Prešovská univerzita. See the timetable of the bus No. 38.

 

 

If you prefer to walk from the main station (about 20 minutes), the route is identical to that of the bus No. 38, shown on the previous map.

You can get to the center of Prešov quickly (in about 5 minutes) from the station by one of the many buses (e.g. No. 1, 4, or 8), which also depart from the bus stop on the side of the bus station. From the center (Divadlo Jonáša Záborského or Na Hlavnej bus stops) you can reach our faculty by foot in about 10 minutes.

 

From the Prešov mesto train station

When traveling by train, you can also get off at the Prešov mesto train station, commonly called a small station. However, some trains from Kysak end at the Prešov main station. In this case, you need to change to a train to Lipany with its very first stop Prešov mesto. The route from this station to the faculty, marked on the following map, is really easy and only takes a few minutes by foot. An alternative is to walk a short distance from the station along Požiarnická Street and turn left onto 17. Novembra Street, where we are situated.
