doc. PhDr. Gabriela Platková Olejárová, PhD.

Associate professor for discipline 2.1.5 Ethics 

In between the years 1998-2004, she graduated the  M.A. studies in Slovak language and literature in combination with ethical education at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov in Prešov. During her one year practice as a teacher at elementary school in Prešov, she continued with the research and in 2006 she acquired the degree Doctor of philosophy (PhDr.). In the next three years she continued with her studies as a student of a PhD study programme of ethics and she worked on her dissertation thesis Ethics of social consequences and its application in economics, which she successfully defended in 2008 and she was granted the title of Philosophiae doctor (PhD.).

From the scientific and research perspective her work is devoted to educational, methodical, methodological and didactic aspects of teaching ethics and develops matter of ethics of the teaching profession focusing on academic ethics. Her research also focuses on ethical issues related to public administration and management. She monitors codes of ethics developed in various professional fields and analyzes them. 

At bachelor level study she teaches the subject of Ethical education, Psychology of morality, School (peer) mediation, at the graduate level she lectures and conducts seminars on subjects of Teaching ethics, Moral education, Philosophy of education, Ethics of Management. The teaching of her text seminars is focused on issues of education in the history of ethical thinking. 

She is a co-guarantor of the study programs: ethics (1st and 2nd level). She is also a guarantor of the program of Update-attestation preparatory education for the first and second certification in ethical education and is a member of the Attestation Commission in the specified field.
