  • 1996-2000: Secondary grammar school of J. A. Rayman in Presov;
  • 2003-2008: Double major study: Fine Art Education and Ethics (at Faculty of Humanities and Natural Sciences at University of Presov in Presov);
  • 2004: Internship at Gallery of Saris (Sarisska galeria) in Presov;
  • 2008-2009: Teacher of graphics and photography at Secondary school (Spojena skola, Ludmila Podjavorinska st., Presov);
  • 2009-2013: PhD. study at Institute of Aesthetics, Art Sciences and Cultural Studies. Dissertation thesis: Naivete and banality in Slovak 20th Century Fine Art.
  • 2012: Research scholarship (Spring term): Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague
  • Since 2014: Research assistant at IAAC

Research field

Visual art - history, theory and aesthetics of visual art; especially Slovak visual art in modern and postmodern era, contemporary visual art tendencies in Slovakia; aesthetic categories of banality and naivety and their projections in visual art; primitivism and neo-primitivism; phenomenon of periphery in visual art; authenticity, kitsch, trash and camp in visual culture.
