Teaching practice 1 (summer term 1st year MA)

Teaching practice 2 (winter term 2nd year MA)

Final Teaching Practice (summer term 2nd year MA):
1. LESSON PLANS:

Students are expected to provide a lesson plan of each lesson taught with a brief (up to 150 words) self-evaluation of each lesson. If parallel classes are taught with the same lesson plan students might hand in one lesson plan with the indication (3A, 3B), however, the self-evaluation needs to be provided for each lesson taught. Students can hand in the original lesson plans they used in their lessons. The portfolio can include sample materials students used for teaching. The portfolio will be returned back to the student after evaluation.

2. EVALUATION OF PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:

Students will evaluate their achievements in the document for student teachers European portfolio for Student Teachers of Languages (EPOSTL). This document will help you in your reflection and self-evaluation process. It will disclose the individual aspects of mastering the teaching profession. This document will be a valuable record mapping the moments of where your initial training ended and you will have a chance to track your further professional development, to see how you progress over the time, especially in those areas where you indicate the space for improvement.
Procedure: In the EPOSTL you will continue marking your progress in the colour bars. This time you will also express your readiness to perform each descriptor in numbers – you will indicate your readiness through the percentage (e.g. 70%), i.e. from 0 to 100%. Remember, you should do it during or immediately after this teaching practice ends and it should reflect the overall ability to handle your future profession.

3. EVALUATION BY THE SUPERVISING TEACHER:

will be included in the portfolio N.B. The portfolio needs to be handed in not later than two weeks after the practice ends.
