FACULTY OF ORTHODOX THEOLOGY

The function of faculty is special preparing and training of orthodox priests, employers of departs of orthodox theology (biblical studies, systematical and practical theology, church history, byzantology etc.) and social workers. This time are two studying programs (Orthodox theology, Charity and social attendance) on faculty and our faculty has evaluated all academic laws. Orthodox theological faculty is the only one Faculty of orthodox theology in the Middle Europe. We realize own scientific work and research seven departments at faculty: Biblical studies, Systematical theology, Practical theology, Church history and Byzantology, Christian anthropology a social work, Christian pedagogic and psychology and Greek language and culture. Faculty has bilateral agreements with the most of European universities in departments of humanity science and theology (University of Joensuu, Finland, Ludwig Maximilians Universität Munchen, Germany, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, Charles University, Czech Republic, Akademia Teologiczna, Warsava, University of Eastern Finland and University of Sofia, Bulgaria). Our plans for near future: To get new classrooms for students, to increase material quality of our science departments, to motivate doctors and assistants for getting upper degrees, to incorporate new actually studying programs, to motivate creation of students, to increase quality of science work, to get the most of our science employers from our students, to sent the most of students and employers for internships abroad, to improve contacts and relations with foreign theological faculties and to upgrade knowledges of our priests.
