Roman Novotný is a graduate of the Faculty of Management and Business of the University of Presov in Presov, where he successfully completed I., II. and III. university degree. After completing his university studies he continued to work at the same workplace and currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of Management. His scientific activity focuses primarily on the assessment of selected aspects of sustainable development. He is the author of several researches published in foreign journals indexed in WoS and Scopus databases. His publishing activity also includes scientific monographs and university textbooks. As part of the research activity, he worked and works as a member of the research team in several successfully completed and currently funded projects from the VEGA and KEGA grant schemes. In the past, he also worked as a leader of several successful projects within the scope of GaPU scientific research grants. As part of his teaching activities, he teaches the subjects Management, Intercultural management and corporate culture, Managerial decision-making and Case studies from human resource management.
