are inviting to an international scientific symposium

Current social work challenges

which will take place at University of Presov, Faculty of Arts, on June 14th 2023, under the patronage
of the Dean of Faculty of Arts: prof. PhDr. Beata Balogová, PhD., MBA.  and European Association of Schools of Social Work(EASSW).

The aim of the symposium: to reflect on the current social work challenges in the national and international context with an emphasis on the self-care of social workers and their clients. Draw attention to innovations in the field of professional practice as part of the undergraduate studies of future social workers. Point out prevailing trends in undergraduate and lifelong social workers’ education as a response to the changing conditions of social work performance.

The event will take place with the support of scientific research projects:
KEGA č. 027PU-4/2022 The transfer of digital technologies to the innovation of professional practice methodology in the undergraduate training of social work students.
VEGA č. 1/0535/23 Integration of Ukrainian migrants and assessment of the difficult life situation associated with the crisis caused by the war conflict through the lens of social work.
