Professor Jaroslav Kusnir, as a short-term scholar, is currently conducting a two-month research project (until late November 2024) on the literature of the American West at Brigham Young University’s Charles Redd Center for Western Studies in Provo, Utah, USA. In the beautiful natural environment surrounding the campus under the mountains, his study of the specificity of the American West, particularly the works of Zitkala-Sa and Zane Grey, will not only deepen his knowledge of the region and its literature but also contribute to his research and to the enhancement of his American literature course syllabi, particularly regarding the unique aspects of the American West.
