Frequently asked questions

Selecting the right study programme and admission procedure

Before submitting your application, we recommend that you contact the coordinator for students with specific needs to ensure that the programme is suitable for you. This is a recommendation, not a binding obligation. If the admission procedure includes an in-person exam, we recommend that you inform the coordinator for students with special needs about your participation in the exam so that we can provide you with appropriate conditions (barrier-free access, modification of the time limit for completing the test, font size, etc.) in accordance with your needs.

After admission to studies

It would be helpful if you inform us about your health condition. By obtaining the status of a student with specific needs, you will enable us to adapt the conditions of your studies to suit your needs. We recommend that you read the Methodological Guide for Students with Special Needs, where you will find the entire procedure for obtaining the status of a student with special needs.

Mobility – study and internship abroad

Every student and graduate of our university can participate in various types of educational mobility programmes. Our students most often use Erasmus+. You can also find out about the possibilities by contacting the coordinators for international mobility at individual departments. Students with specific needs can obtain a grant for mobility participants with specific needs and a lack of opportunities.

Barrier-free access

The university can provide barrier-free access to both teaching facilities and accommodation. However, we need to know about your needs in advance, so it is important that you contact the coordinator prior to commencing your studies if necessary.

Assistive technology

Various assistive technologies available at the Student Support Centre can also help you with your studies (e.g., software for students with visual impairments, or scanning pens that convert text from paper to digital form and include an integrated function for narrating the scanned text). You can find an overview of selected aids on our website.
