Erasmus mobility of KTHM members at CTL Eurocollege in Cyprus
In April 2025, FMEO, together with the University of Technology and Economics in České Budějovice, became a cooperation partner in organizing the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on the topic: "Innovative Future: Digital Entrepreneurship and Creative Solutions for the Challenges of the Contemporary World". Mobility was attended by 8 bachelor's students in the Tourism, Hotel and Spa Management program.
During the five days, they carried out a number of scientific, professional and leisure activities. Meeting with students from Cyprus, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic offered them opportunities for personal advancement and study progress. The members of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management were also particularly interested in this topical issue. During the week of April 28 to May 2, 2025, they carried out mobility, which also enabled participation in the BIP program. Doc. PhDr. Daniela Matušíková, PhD. carried out staff mobility and doc. Ing. Anna Šenková, PhD., teachers´mobility, where they met with domestic students, the institution's management, but also fellow academics during the lectures. On selected days, they participated in the educational part of the BIP program and took part in a very interesting field excursion.
The specific purpose of this trip to Cyprus was mainly to hold a pilot meeting (kick -off meeting) for the newly supported project in the KEGA 002PU-4/2025 scheme "Support for the internationalization of education in selected profile subjects of the Tourism, Hospitality and Spa study program". Its start in 2025 prepares the involvement of students from three partner institutions (FMEO PU, CTL Eurocollege Limassol and University of Oradea) in the intensification of international and especially scientific research activities. Within the individual planned phases, students will delve deeper into the methodology of scientific research, writing case studies and scientific articles. Doc. Ing. Anna Šenková, PhD., Head of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management is also the Head of the KEGA 002PU-4/2025 project and her deputy is Doc. PhDr. Daniela Matušíková, PhD.
In addition to the above project, another form of cooperation with CTL Eurocollege is also planned within the framework of participation in the VEGA 1/0426/25 project "Methodological modeling of the system of digital passportization of tourism in Slovakia". Here, one of the goals is a scientific research of digitization tools and work with digital data in tourism in the country of the partner institution. The findings can support the project outputs and, during its solution, enhance international cooperation in joint scientific activities
