Graduate profile

Graduates of the Third Degree of the Social Work field of study use the knowledge of basic research in social sciences for the needs of applied research specialized in solving diverse areas of social practice and for the development of social work itself, as a scientific, pedagogical and practical discipline.

Graduates have developed skills in the research in current foreign and domestic literature, they creatively and operatively use web sites of global and regional research projects, actively work in international and domestic expert networks focused on individual areas of their own activity.

Graduates use individual domestic and foreign grant schemes for the purpose of formulating and implementing their own research project or engaging in a domestic, supraregional and transnational research project. For this purpose, they use the position of mediators / rivers of interdisciplinary research teams focused on solving practical social problems or problems of developing their own discipline. They have developed skills in involving different actors (including civil society representatives) into designing, implementing, evaluating and disseminating research activities.

Graduates actively cooperate with public authorities in local and regional social development, cooperate in creating key socio-political documents, programming social changes at different levels, creating conditions for their implementation, evaluation and dissemination to target groups.

Based on their developed pedagogical skills, they influence the factual profiling of their own university workplaces, including their scientific and research activities, and links to other university workplaces. Initiate foundation, respectively. support the functioning of the partnerships of relevant institutions (university departments, other research institutions from different R & D sectors, public authorities, non-governmental and employers' sectors, and the various providers of social interventions, including the voluntary sector).

In order to fulfill tasks mentioned above they use their developed language, negotiation, formatting and ICT skills.

Definition of the scientific and artistic fields of graduate´s application:

graduates of the third degree of university studies of the Social Work field of study have the possibility of actively applying in the field of scientific research and teaching of social work at universities; further action in the community of social policy makers at different levels; acting in the management of organizations providing social interventions for different target groups; in the area of ​​creating and managing grant schemes; management of developed social projects at different levels; social partnership, community planning and community development.
