Abstract

The control of societal consciousness of the individual is greatly simplified in the current pandemic situation for the media. The creation of social consciousness through linguistic and non linguitic means is easier in borderline situations because people are frightenes and believes hoax. Pandemic Covid 19 and fear associated with disease, loss of work and other negative connotations to some extent reduces the ability of rational thinking and is therefore conscious of the individual and then the sociative consciousness is easily influenced by simple linguistic and extra means. These means will be the subject of this post.

SUMMARY

Let's think about it for a moment. It cannot influence a person to provoke negative comments or even statements, e.g., negative connotation already in the title of the article? Or, for example, the release of the same illustrations, which are both out of date and negative in combination with the frequent periodicity of advertisements repeating so that we can be vaccinated, is rather a negative effect on a person to avoid the desired effect, i.e., to be vaccinated. All these facts, but also many others that are constantly presented to us by the media, shape the opinion of our company, whether we want it or not. The media provided a huge space and means for influencing and manipulating social consciousness, of course, not only in Slovakia. The media can influence us with appropriately chosen language and non-language means, and then we will start to behave according to a certain pattern. We are effectively affected by negative news, ideally of a catastrophic nature, which immediately arouses our interest. The primary goal of the media is clear - to reach for it "next time". What does it mean? I will look at the news tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the day after tomorrow to see how many people have died. I won't look at the news tomorrow, the day after tomorrow and the day after tomorrow to know how many people have recovered. I don't care. Why? Because a person living in the 21st century seems to have information encoded somewhere in his head that we are bad, and we will be bad. Evil for the modern man means the only certainty that will be here today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Ultimately, evil is exactly what it sells and what people interest.
