From November 1 to 3, 2025, the University of Prešov took part in the European Higher Education Week held in two major Vietnamese cities: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

The event featured the prestigious Study in Europe education fair, which attracts nearly 70 universities and organisations from 18 EU countries each year, confirming Europe’s status as a leading destination for talented Vietnamese students. The Slovak booth was supported by representatives from the Slovak Embassy in Vietnam and the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, including Slovak Ambassador to Vietnam Marián Vereš and Consular Officer Radoslav Piršč.

The University of Prešov, represented by Ema Fričeková and Estelle Kosnansky from the International Relations Office, was the only Slovak university to showcase its English-language programs and engage with Vietnamese students interested in study, scholarship, and research opportunities across a range of disciplines.

The week concluded with the Erasmus+ & Horizon Europe Day conference, which brought together universities and organisations from both Vietnam and Europe to highlight two key EU initiatives. The conference aimed to strengthen collaboration in research, innovation, and education, paving the way for new international partnerships.

The University of Prešov’s participation in the event not only enhanced its global network but also opened the door to new avenues of cooperation with the Asian region.
