The study programme Economy and Management in Sustainable Innovative Industry is assigned to the field of study Economics and Management and is designed to reflect the requirements placed on a graduate of the second level of study in the field of Economics and Management. The study programme is provided at the second level of study. Graduates of the study programme obtain second-level university education and are awarded the academic title "engineer" (abbreviated "Ing.").

The graduate possesses extensive professional and methodological knowledge in the areas of economics and management, with an emphasis on sustainability, innovation and industrial transformation. They master specific economic, managerial and environmental concepts, approaches and methods, understand their interrelationships and are able to apply them in the context of modern economic and managerial theory and practice. Based on the knowledge and practical experience acquired, they are able to identify, analyse and solve complex problems at both the microeconomic and macroeconomic level, particularly in the field of sustainable and innovative industry.

The graduate can design and implement solutions aimed at optimising economic processes, making efficient use of resources and integrating environmental strategies into business practice. They possess well-developed analytical, critical and communication skills that enable them to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams, manage projects and make informed decisions. They can assess the economic, environmental and social impacts of decisions, apply the principles of the circular economy, circular business models and sustainable finance. They demonstrate a high degree of independence, creativity and responsibility in solving tasks and projects, can present and defend their own solutions in a foreign language and respond flexibly to a dynamically changing environment.

The engineering study programme Economy and Management in Sustainable Innovative Industry is focused on preparing practice-ready graduates who are able to actively participate in the transformation of industry towards sustainability and innovation. The programme develops the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to address challenges related to the introduction of environmental strategies, the optimisation of economic processes and the implementation of innovative solutions. Emphasis is placed on integrating environmental, economic and technological aspects into strategic decision-making, as well as on the use of modern technologies and innovative approaches in organisational management.

The aim of the study programme is to prepare professionals capable of effectively planning, implementing and evaluating projects that support sustainability in industry, designing and implementing sustainable business models and contributing to the transformation and development of the economy. The graduate acquires comprehensive competencies in the areas of strategic management, financial decision-making, project management and the optimisation of business processes. They are prepared for professional and managerial positions in both the private and public sectors, particularly as managers of sustainable and innovative projects, consultants for environmental innovation, specialists in the circular economy or project managers focused on the strategic management of enterprises in the context of sustainable development.
