Dipl. Ing. Jana Chovancová, PhD., is a graduate of the Technical University in Košice, where she successfully completed her bachelor's studies in Operations Management, Master studies in Environmental Protection Technology, and doctoral studies in Environmental Management. Her extensive scientific research focuses on environmental management systems and application of voluntary initiatives of environmental policy in corporate settings. Additionally, she is currently engaged in research project focused on assessing the sustainability of the energy systems in the EU.

With a robust background, she has served as a co-investigator in over 20 national and international environmentally oriented projects, including VEGA, KEGA, APVV, ESF, TEMPUS, COST Action, Norway Grants. In cooperation with local company, she received and successfully implemented an Innovation Voucher of Prešov Self Government. Actively participating in various scientific, educational, and applied research projects, she remains committed to advancing knowledge in her field.

Having completed several international internships, such as those at the Technical University of Novi Sad (Serbia), Bucharest University of Technology and Economics (Romania), Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences (Hungary), and Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), she has gained valuable global perspectives.

She is the author or co-author of over 200 publications, with 40 recognized in the Web of Science. Currently, she imparts her knowledge through seminars and courses in Operations Management, Logistics, and Managerial Decision Making.
