University of Prešov at the EAIE 2025 in Gothenburg
In 2025, the University of Prešov was once again be part of a delegation of 17 Slovak public universities participating in the prestigious international conference and fair for higher education, EAIE 2025, at the Svenska Mässan exhibition center.
This year's event took place from September 9 to 12, 2025, in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Slovak exhibition stand under the brand "Study in Slovakia" is organized by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, with the Slovak delegation led by State Secretary for Higher Education and Academic Research Róbert Zsembera.
EAIE is the world's largest and most comprehensive event in the field of internationalization of higher education. It is an important platform for establishing new partnerships in the areas of education, research, and academic mobility. For the University of Prešov, participation in the fair is an opportunity to strengthen international contacts, present its study programs, and actively engage in professional discussions on current challenges and trends in the globalized academic environment.
During the fair, UNIPO representatives held a number of meetings with representatives of foreign universities with the aim of establishing new contacts with universities in Chile, Taiwan, Brazil, Norway, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Norway that have expressed interest in cooperation in the area of long-term and short-term exchange programs, joint research projects, and international summer schools. Negotiations took place, for example, with Universidad Finis Terrae, Konkuk University, University of Santa Cruz do Sul, Universidad de Santiago de Chile, York St John University, Queen Maud University College, and Hochschule Hannover.
In addition, the university is also active in the exchange of experiences in the field of international marketing and student recruitment, which can contribute to increasing the visibility of the University of Prešov in the international environment.
The university's participation in this important event is financially supported by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic through a call from the Slovak Republic's Recovery and Resilience Plan – Support for Internationalization in the Academic Environment.
