After graduating from the University of Economics in Bratislava, the Faculty of Business Economics in Košice in 2004 she was awarded a degree of an engineer. She successfully completed her PhD studies in the field of 3.3.15 Management.

She works at the Department of Economics and Economy as an assistant professor and secretary of the department. Her pedagogical activities include teaching of the following subjects: Business Economics, World Economy and International Economic Relations and also Economic Policy. She is a co-author of several textbooks for the mentioned subjects.

She focused on several areas in her research activities and eventually she found her specialization. Her dissertation thesis focused on the area of insurance and especially the competitiveness of insurance companies. In later publications she started to focus more on the competitiveness, particularly the competitiveness from sectoral and national point of view. At present, she actively links the knowledge in this field with the field of knowledge-based economy.

Her publication outputs reflect her research in these areas. She participates in several monographs as an author or co-author. Several her publications have been presented at domestic and foreign conferences. Her publications are also regularly published in professional journals and proceedings. The mentioned publications as well as citations of her publications are in the Web of Science and the Scopus databases, and in a number of other databases.
She has actively participated in several successful scientific projects as a co-investigator and is still involved in some ongoing projects.
