Mobility in Tirana expanded the possibilities of cooperation of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management

After initially analyzing the possibilities, she was interested in the Metropolitan University of Tirana in the country's capital. The focus of the institution is significantly compatible with the study programs at Faculty of Management and Business, especially the study of tourism and hotel management.

This sector is making significant progress in the country. Especially seaside tourism destinations attract participants from all over the world. The current portfolio and quality of the services provided increase the popularity of the country. The capital city, breathing an international atmosphere and pulsating with the temperament of the local people, really has much to offer the target audience of several segments. An extremely positive academic experience was the initial communication with the institution. Thanks to the great colleagues Esmeralda Doku and Marco, the entire stay, starting from the first email exchange to its conclusion, was a great and valuable experience. During the meeting with the management, specifically with the head of the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management Department at the Faculty of Economics - Blerina Dhrami, PhD. as well as Dr. Ali Maarufa, many topics, subjects of study and specifics of education in this sector were discussed. In particular, possible intersections of further cooperation between the institutions were emphasized. The lectures for students of the home university were mutually enriching.

They pointed out the interest of local young people to dedicate their future activities to tourism services, which in many countries face a lack of job potential. Apart from the above, Tirana is truly full of surprises, from historical heritage, natural potential, military attractions, manifestations of modern architecture, delicious gastronomy full of quality products, green roofs and relaxation areas, friendly people and much more. It is definitely worth experiencing.
