doc. Ing.Kristína Šambronská, PhD.
In 2000 she received her degree in economics at the Faculty of Economics of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica in the field of tourism. During her studies she was also certified as a tourist guide. In the second stage of her university studies she completed a two-year study at the Pedagogical Faculty of the UMB in Banská Bystrica - an additional pedagogical study, which she finished in 2000. She completed her doctoral studies and a PhD. graduated from the Faculty of Management at the University of Presov in Prešov, in the field of management in 2009. After graduation she worked in the field of tourism for 5 years actively and occasionally continues to work (in a travel agency, guide). Since 2001, she has been giving lectures at the “Guide to Tourism” courses and since 2011 she is not only a lecturer but also a guarantor of the above-mentioned course offered within the Center of Lifelong Learning at the University of Prešov in Prešov.
She received the scientific-pedagogical title of Associate Prefessor (docent) in the field of habilitation and inaugural procedure: Management in 2022, and since that year she has been working as a Associate Prefessor at the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, Faculty of Management, Economics and Business, University of Prešov in Prešov. Title of the habilitation thesis: "Products of tourism networks as an innovative tool of destination management" Topic of the habilitation lecture: "Preparation of managers in the tourism industry using the example of a tourist guide as a representative of the destination"
In 2006-2007 she was a member of the first preparatory team of the “European Capital of Culture” 2013 (the team worked until the shortlist of two candidates - Prešov and Košice). At present he leads expert seminars, lectures and leads final theses at the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management. She has been a member of successfully completed KEGA and VEGA research projects. He also represents the Department (as well as the Faculty of Management) within the SACKA - Slovak Association of Travel Agencies and Travel Agencies. She has been active in the Erasmus + program for a long time as a faculty coordinator and ECTS coordinator. She currently works as a departmental coordinator of the Erasmus + program for the study programs Tourism, Hotel and Spa, Management within the block Management of Hotel and Tourism at the bachelor and master level.
She is the author and co-author of 2 monograph, 7 university textbooks, 7 professional publications and more than 100 scientific papers published in WOS, Scopus, Copernicus International and other databases.

During her internship she has spent exchange stays abroad: in the Czech Republic (Prague - 2006, 2009, 2019, Opava - 2013, 2015, 2020, České Budějovice - 2016, Brno - 2017, 2018 and 2019), in Poland (Kielce - 2008, 2017) and Hungary (Budapest - 2020).
