On August 26, 2022, a WORKSHOP - "Cultural-historical and pilgrimage places - their importance and promotion" was held, which was attended not only by members of the department but also by invited guests. During the workshop, experts presented contributions of the given issue.

One of the aims of the workshop was to quantify the cultural-historical and pilgrimage sites in Slovakia, at the level of the Slovak regions, to point out the importance of pilgrimage sites, the continuity, the connection of the ecumenical, cultural or economic aspect, to know the cultural problems of pilgrimage sites in the region, to analyze the cultural-knowledge component of important cultural-historical and pilgrimage sites, to compare cultural, historical and religious connections between communities in the region.

The proceedings of peer-reviewed contributions with a title "Cultural-historical and pilgrimage places - their importance and promotion", which is distributed free of charge to the public within the region, is an output of the President of the Prešov Self-governing Region for 2022.
