She graduated from the Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering (SPŠ) in Prešov. In 1998 she completed her bachelor studies and in 2000 she graduated with honors from engineering studies at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra.
In 2008 she acquired her pedagogical qualification at the Department of Engineering Pedagogy of the Technical University in Košice.
She completed her doctoral studies in 2010 at the Faculty of Management of the University of Prešov in Prešov in the study field Management, where she successfully defended her dissertation thesis "The Analysis of the Modeling Methods and Quantification of the Impact of Determining Factors for Forecasting in Financial Management of SMEs".
She was awarded the Price of the Rector of the University of Prešov in Prešov for the excellent academic performance.
In 2019 she defended her habilitation thesis "Application of Advanced Methods in the Financial and Economic Analysis of the Slovak Electrical Engineering Industry" and a habilitation lecture on "Using Multiple Logistic Regression Methods to Predict the Financial Health of Businesses in Electrical Engineering Industry" before the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Ostrava; and she was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Finance.
Since 2008, she has worked as an associate professor at the Department of Finance, the Faculty of Management of the University of Prešov in Prešov. In previous years she had worked as an economist at the regional centre of ZPCCH in SR (the Association of People Affected by Civilization Diseases in Slovakia). She cooperated with the School of Management in Trenčín as a lecturer, a reviewer and a proctor.
As part of the pedagogical activities, during her time at the Department of Finance and Accounting, she participated in the teaching of nine subjects, Fundamentals of Taxation, Taxation, Accounting, Finance and Currency, Corporate Finance, Control and Controlling, Financial Economic Analysis and Financial Planning, Financial Management.
She introduced subjects such as Financial Economic Analysis at the bachelor's level of study, Financial Economic Analysis and Financial Planning at the master's level of study, Selected Advanced Methods in Financial Economic Analysis at the doctoral level of study.
At present, she runs the courses Selected Advanced Methods in Financial and Economic Analysis, Financial and Economic Analysis, and she participates in the teaching of Corporate Finance at the Department of Finance. She is a supervisor of bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses. She is a member of the State Examination Committees at the bachelor, master and doctoral degree. She completed the staff mobility for teaching at the University of Rzeszow within the Erasmus+ programme (2017).
In the research and publishing activities, scientific and research work, she deals with the issue of financial analyzes, she focuses on the area of financial management of non-financial corporations, financial modelling, methods of analysis, as well as selected macroeconomic issues.
She was a principle investigator of the project GAMA/11/1. She participated in ITMS 26110230111 Educational Reform at the FM PU, in foreign projects APVV SK-PL-0061-12, in domestic projects GAMA/10/14, GAMA/11/9, GAMA/13/6, KEGA 007PU-4/2011, KEGA 037PU-4/2014, VEGA 1/0876/10, VEGA 1/0760/13, VEGA 1/0791/16, VEGA 1/0255/2016, VEGA 1/0945/17, VEGA 1/0470/18, VEGA 1/0194/19.
In 2009 she was a programme committee member of the international conference and in 2016, 2018, 2019 a scientific committee member of the national scientific conference. Since 2015 she is a member of the Slovak Statistical and Demographic Society, the Czech Statistical Society and the European Conservatives and Reformists Group. She is a member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Management of the University of Prešov in Prešov, a chairman of the Economic Committee of the Academic Senate of the University of Prešov in Prešov, a member of the Academic Senate PU in Prešov and she is also a member of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Management PU.
In 2018 she was awarded the Bronze Medal of the University of Prešov in Prešov for the significant contribution in development of the University of Prešov in Prešov.
She cooperates with financial managers of industrial companies, with the local government. She uses her gained experience in pedagogical process and in scientific activities.
She is an author of three scientific monographs, a co-author of two foreign and three domestic scientific monographs, and author of four university course books, a co-author of fifteen university coursebooks. So far, she has published more than 200 domestic and foreign outputs. She was a speaker at domestic and foreign conferences.
