Bachelor's degree:
The graduate of the Bachelor's degree has a wide range of knowledge in all areas of biological science disciplines, in chemical science disciplines and, within the broader scientific basis, also in mathematics, physics and statistics. He/she has knowledge and skills in research methods at different levels of organisation of living systems, which he/she is able to apply in solving practical problems and to carry out basic work in experimental biology.

Definition of the graduate's field of application:
Graduates of the bachelor's degree will find employment in research teams with a biological and chemical focus, in independent scientific and research work at the workplaces of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, universities, in the department of health, agriculture, forestry, food industry, environment, in state administration and self-government, etc.Graduates of the bachelor's degree will be able to find employment in research teams with a biological and chemical focus. They will also find wide application in solving environmental - ecological problems in the field and in private companies.

Bachelor's degree (Bachelor's degree) 
The aim of the Bachelor's degree is primarily to prepare the student for further studies which will enable him/her to be fully qualified for the teaching profession. A graduate of the academic subject teaching course acquires theoretical knowledge in three basic components of training: the pedagogical-psychological component, the didactic component and the professional (biological) component.
At the same time, the graduate acquires the foundations for practical skills that will be fully developed in the master's degree: planning the teaching process according to the basic pedagogical documents, creating models of lessons, mastering the work with different types of material and didactic means, with an emphasis on the use of the latest information and communication technologies, skills for lifelong expansion of their knowledge and skills, and monitoring of current developments in science and pedagogy.

Definition of the graduate's field of application:
Graduates of the field of study are eligible to perform the profession of assistant teacher, or assistant teacher, pedagogical worker for extracurricular children's leisure activities, state administration worker for the relevant area (in methodological centres, in the State Pedagogical Institute, etc.), school administrative and methodological worker (according to the subject specialization, e.g. management of school libraries, computer networks, school technological and laboratory fund, etc.).

 

Attention! Graduates of the first level of teaching studies in academic subjects (with a Bachelor's degree) are not fully qualified to teach in primary schools, grammar schools or some other secondary schools. In order to be fully qualified, a graduate of the Bachelor's degree must apply for the Master's degree.
