Journal Acta Patristica is published by Presov University Press in Presov for the needs of the Department of Practical and Systematic Theology of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, PU in Presov. It is open to all humanitarian themes, so it accepts and publishes original, so far unpublished contributions from the field of patristics and related theological and other humanistic scientific disciplines. It offers valuable analytical studies, informations, reviews, contributions and reports by internationally recognized domestic and foreign contributors in the latest scientific research in the humanities field, not only for the Central European academic environment. The journal focuses mainly on the fields of patrology, theology, religious studies, hermeneutics, biblical studies, philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, world and ecclesiastical history.
 
The texts of the published papers are published in English, Slovak, German, Greek, Czech, Russian, Serbian, Polish and Ukrainian.
