Education

The members of the department in cooperation with other departments provide theoretical and practical teaching of study subjects in the study programmes teacher training in physical education and teacher training in physical education in combination (1^st and 2^nd degree), sport for health (1^st and 2^nd degree) and special physical training in security forces (1^st degree) the concept of which is based on the need to train university-qualified professionals in the field of education in school, performance, elite sports and sports for people with special needs. The field of Sports Humanistic and Educology provides space for the application of compulsory and voluntary subjects such as: History of sport, Philosophy and sociology of sport, Psychology of sport, Didactics of Physical and Sports Education, Sports Training, Olympic Movement, Ethics of Sport, Economics and Management of Sport, Recreational Physical Education.

The department ensures the educational process (general physical education) for all students of PU in Prešov. A condition for granting credit is active participation in the university volleyball league.
