Department description

The Department of Sports Education and Humanistics is one of the three departments of the Faculty of Sports of the University of Prešov in Prešov. Its main area of ​​activity is based on the content of the study fields of sports education and sports humanities. The department provides teaching of study subjects, the concept of which is based on the need to train university-qualified professionals in the field of education in school, performance, elite sports, in the sports of people with special needs and in the field of physical training in a wide range of security forces. The department provides the teaching of the following subjects: Psychology of Sport, Philosophy and Sociology of Sport, Ethics of Sport, History of Sport and the Olympic Movement, Organization and Management of Sport, Law and Sport and Legislation of Security Forces, Economics and Management of Sport, Recreational Physical Education, Fitness and Sports Training, Sports Terminology in English, Sports Communication, Didactics and Pedagogy of Sports, Didactics of Physical and Sports Education, Sports Training of Children, Youth and Women, Animation of Leisure Activities and Pedagogical Practice.
