Physiotherapy is study program of Study Programs System, controlled by Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic as the knowledge field (§ 50 part 1 of Law no. 13/2002), in which the graduate (§ 51 part 1 of Law no. 131/2002) achieves professional ability/competence for providing origin occupation, or is prepared for subsequence university study.

Physiotherapy study program is posible to study, according to the Study Programe System, in:

• 1^st university study degree - bachelor degree (Bc.) with standard study length of 3 years (6 semesters) in full time and half time study
• 2^nd university study degree - master`s degree (Mgr.) with standard study length of 2 years (4 semesters) in full time and half time study

Professional graduate profile features (1^st degree - bachelor study):

Graduate is qualified university health care worker with broad professional profile. He is able of diagnostic and treatment practices and methods of physiatry, balneology and treatment rehabilitation. He is able of providing procedures that requires professional erudition, of work independence, of making work decidions, of personal responsibility in treatment rehabilitation, in primary, secondary and tertial health care. He is able of preventive, diagnostic,treatment, consulting and educational practice.
