On 12–13 January 2026, the partners of Q-Helix met in person at Instituto Superior Politécnico Gaya (ISPGAYA) in Vila Nova de Gaia – Porto, Portugal.

The coordinators worked on key documents aimed at ensuring quality in education and research within the newly established Q-Helix Alliance Centre for Quality in Education and Research, focusing in particular on:

• 🔹 common quality assurance frameworks,
• 🔹 communication standards,
• 🔹 strategies for knowledge exchange and continuous learning,
• 🔹 guidelines for the responsible and ethical use of AI in education and research.

The discussions during the working sessions also addressed strategic development, strengthening cooperation among partners, and planning joint activities for the coming months.

We would like to thank ISPGAYA for the welcoming atmosphere, excellent organisation, and valuable inputs that helped move our cooperation discussions forward.

The next Q-Helix Alliance partners’ meeting will take place on 4–5 May 2026, hosted by  University of Prešov (Slovakia).
