We are proud to announce that the University of Prešov has officially become a member of the prestigious European alliance Q-Helix, part of the European Universities Initiative—a flagship program of the European Commission supporting transnational cooperation in higher education.

The European Universities alliances are part of a flagship initiative of the European strategy for universities. They encompass 73 European Universities alliances with almost 650 higher education institutions of all types, from all across Europe.

These alliances:

• Enable students to earn degrees by combining studies across multiple countries,
• Promote research, innovation, and solutions to societal challenges,
• Strengthen European values, academic freedom, and democracy,
• Enhance the global competitiveness and attractiveness of European universities.

Students and staff benefit from:

• Joint study programs,
• Flexible learning pathways,
• Access to cutting-edge technologies and research infrastructure.

About the Alliance

The Q-Helix European University Alliance brings together 10 partners from across Europe in a shared vision for innovation and inclusivity. Recognized with the Seal of Excellence, we are dedicated to creating transformative educational and research opportunities that align with societal needs.

Awarded by the European Commission, the Seal of Excellence recognizes Q-Helix as a high-quality initiative ready to reshape European higher education. The Seal of Excellence is a testament to our commitment to quality and impact. While not currently supported under Erasmus+, we remain steadfast in our mission to develop joint activities that address global challenges.

The Q-Helix University project pioneers collaborative ecosystem rooted in the Quintuple Helix model, connecting stakeholders around universities. By breaking away from traditional cooperation, it focuses on Comprehensive Ecosystem Security, Environmental Conservation, Smart City Development, and Healthcare Innovation. Lifelong Learners are guided through upskilling with micro-credentials, fostering innovation.

Q-Helix is a dynamic alliance focused on:
