The Student Support Centre (SSC) is a university-wide unit established to provide assistance and support primarily to applicants and students of all faculties and departments of the University of Prešov. It operates under the Department of Education of the Rector’s Office.
The Student Support Centre was created through the merger of three units: the Support Centre for Students with Special Needs, the Psychological Counselling Unit at the Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, and the newly established Career Counselling Centre.
The Centre is managed by the Vice-Rector for Education.
The activities of the SSC are supported by the project “Support for Counselling and Improvement of Students’ Mental Health at the University of Prešov” (NFP401402F642), funded under the Slovakia Programme (401402 – 4P2 Quality and Inclusive Education).
The SSC provides:
counselling for students with special needs,
counselling for students from foreign-language and multicultural backgrounds,
psychological counselling,
guidance focused on navigating the university environment and effective learning,
career counselling, and
activities supporting mental well-being.
