Abstract

The primary aim of this paper is to outline basic moments in the oldest Roma ethnogenesis. Knowledge about the Indian and Byzantine history of the Roma people is intrinsically ambiguous, mutualy confronting and summarizing in the implicit body. In this connection, the paper aspirates the chronoligical fragmentation of the issue, suggests historical contexts and particularly draws possible conclusions.
