  • Developed, in cooperation with ANASOFT APR, s.r.o., and has operated since 2010 an online database of scholarships and grants available at www.granty.saia.sk.
  • Organizes selection procedures for scholarship stays based on bilateral agreements and offers from foreign governments in 28 countries worldwide (individual scholarship offers can be found in the database at www.granty.saia.sk).
  • Coordinates the admission of international scholarship holders by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic for study and research stays (information for international applicants is available in the scholarship and grant database at www.grants.saia.sk).
  • Hosts seminars focused on academic mobility for universities and information days about study opportunities abroad and scholarship programs for secondary school and university students, in close cooperation with its regional offices in Nitra, Žilina, Banská Bystrica, and Košice.
  • Publishes materials on studying abroad and a monthly electronic bulletin, SAIA Bulletin.

Since 1990, more than 11,600 applicants have been recommended for scholarships abroad through selection procedures and nominations.
