Education

The department ensures the educational process through courses in all accredited bachelor and master study programs. The department offers courses that extend knowledge in sport sciences through compulsory courses, theories and didactics of various sports, a wide range of practically oriented compulsory elective and optional courses, including sport specializations. It also offers ten sport specializations within the study module for coaches.

The department ensures the educational process (general physical education) for all students of PU in Prešov. A condition for granting credit is active participation in the university volleyball league or the PU football minileague in Prešov. 

The department is responsible for coordination and preparation of education of sport experts in non-formal education under the Act No. 440/2015 Coll. on Sports, and on the amendment to certain acts. To implement this type of education, the department cooperates with pedagogical staff from all departments of the Faculty of Sports.
