Dr. h. c. Prof. PhDr. Rudolf Dupkala, CSc.

Rudolf Dupkala completed several internships and lectures abroad, e.g. at Lomonosov University in Moscow, L´ Université d´été in Paris, Masaryk University in Brno and Rzeszow University in Rzeszów. He presented his research (academic) results in Europe, Asia and America. In his pedagogical practice and academic research, he focuses on the history of philosophy and ethics, philosophy of culture, philosophy of civilizations and history of socio-political theories. He presents the results of his scientific activity in scientific monographs, university textbooks and scientific studies in philosophical, theological and literary-historical journals and anthologies in Slovakia and abroad. He regularly cooperates as a researcher of the Slovak Scientific Grant Agency’s scientific projects, as a member of scientific boards of academic institutions, a member of editorial boards of journals and proceedings, etc. He also held several academic positions, especially at the Faculty of Arts (head of the department, chairman of the academic senate, vice-dean, dean). He has been awarded several times for his academic, pedagogical and managerial activities not only by academic institutions - e.g. in 2010, he was awarded the honorary degree of Krasnodarsky gosudarstvennyj chudozhstvenmyj universitet Doctor honoris causa (Dr. h. c.); in 2015, he was awarded the City of Prešov Prize, in 2016 he was awarded the honorary title of Professor Honorowy.
