Assoc. Prof. Ing. Martin Lačný, PhD.

Martin Lačný graduated from the Faculty of Business Management at the University of Economics in Bratislava (1998) and obtained doctoral degree in Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava (2003). His teaching and scholarly activities are focused on economics, management and business ethics. Currently, he teaches the courses: History of Economic Thought, Economic Theory (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics), International Economic Relations, Slovak and World Economy, Corporate Social Responsibility, Ethics in Advertising and Marketing. As a researcher, he participated in several national and international research projects. He has been a principal researcher in the research projects VEGA No. 1/3609/06, "Competitiveness as a culture-building phenomenon – the limits of effectiveness" and VEGA 1/0177/19 “Challenges and perspectives of cross-border cooperation in the context of the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement”. He has published studies in several international and interdisciplinary scientific journals, including Studies of Transition States and Societies, Human Affairs, Contemporary Economics, Studia Psychologica. He is a member of the Association for Borderlands Studies.
