Before Departure & After Mobility
Before the end of student´s mobility, there are a couple of things needed to be done:
1️) Before departure from Prešov:
- Study issues:
- Student needs to check that all of the courses in their OLA match the courses in their MAIS "My Study" section. If not, please contact petra.vanova@unipo.sk
- Once all courses in MAIS have a grade, please inform petra.vanova@unipo.sk. A ToR (Transcript of Records) will be requested from the faculty and once received at the IRO office, it will be sent by email to the student and their home university coordinator*
- If the student has a template of "certificate of stay" or "mobility period certificate", it needs to be sent to petra.vanova@unipo.sk so that it can signed and stamped and given to the student before departure. If student´s home university doesn´t have a fixed template, student will automatically receie a standardized document proving their mobility dates and study field provided by the IRO office.
- Accommodation issues:
- Once all of their exams are passed, student will inform IRO office about the date of their departure from Prešov. It is advised to inform the IRO officer about the date of departure at least 2 weeks prior.
- A FORMS departure notice needs to be filled out to inform the accommodation department about the departure date so that a room inspection can be scheduled (FORMS is sent to all Erasmus+ students via email by IRO officer).
- Room inspection is usually scheduled a day before student´s departure if it is a business day (Monday - Friday). Or a last business day before departure if student´s leaving during the weekend.
- If needed, student will visit the accommodation department to make sure all of the payments for rent and other paperwork are in order.
- Day of your departure:
- Once leaving, student will leave bedsheets, dorm card, key from the room and the pass to the dorm tourniquets (if they did not have an ISIC card) at the reception of the dormitory
2️) After arrival home
- once at home, the student is required to inform their home coordinator about their return and provide them with:
- ToR
- Certificate of Stay
- make sure that the home institution has all versions of their student´s OLA (Changes to the OLA)
- if student´s home university doesn´t use the same grading system as the University of Prešov, the student is required to forward their home ECTS coordinator the info below -
UNIPO ECTS and grading system
The credit system at the University of Presov follows the rules of the European Credit and Accumulation Transfer Sytem (ECTS). It was introduced at the University of Presov in 2005. The student’s standard load is expressed by the number of credits: 60 credits per academic year, 30 credits per semester.
Diploma supplement
The University of Presov was awarded a Diploma Supplement label in 2013. This honorary distinction ensures standards agreed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO. The Diploma Supplement is a document accompanying a higher education diploma, providing a standardised description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies completed by its holder (European Commission – ec.europa.eu)
