The sequence of steps in publishing publications at PU Publishing House:

1. It is necessary to fill out  a cover sheet . (the cover letter is always filled out, even if the publication was approved in the PU Publishing Plan, GaPU Grant)

The cover letter will be signed by the author and co-authors.

2. a) In case of interest in PU co-financing (full, partial) of a publication included in the current PU Publishing Plan, it is necessary to address  a request for approval of financing to  Mr. to the rector, signed by the vice-rector for science, art, sports and accreditation. 

2. b) In case of interest in the publication of a publication not included in the current PU Publishing Plan and at the same time  PU  co-financing

3. The contract for publishing a publication is concluded between the rector of PU in Prešov and the author/editor in the case of all publications published through Vydavatelstvo PU.

After signing the contract and assigning an ISBN number, it is not possible to make any changes (change the name of the publication, list of authors, method of financing, etc.)

4.  Each published publication must be assessed by at least two independent reviewers , whose names will be listed in the imprint. Reviewers must not work at the author's workplace  (department, institute, institute) and must generally have the scientific-pedagogical rank of professor or Associate Professor. As a rule, important personalities of the relevant field are suggested as reviewers. If the reviewers' opinions are ambiguous, REČ may recommend a third reviewer. The work will be published as a book publication only in case of positive comments from two reviewers.

5.  The documents of points 1-4 and the manuscript of the publication in electronic form must be delivered to

6.  Address the request for ISBN assignment to the  technical editor of the PU Publishing House only after completing points 1-4 and receiving positive reviews, since

it is an output of the PU Publishing House.
