Admission Requirements for the Specialization Study Program in Ergotherapy (Occupational Therapy)

For the Healthcare Profession of Physiotherapist

An applicant may be admitted to the study program if they meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualifications:
  • A second-degree higher education (Master's degree / Magister) in the Physiotherapy field of study, OR
  • A first-degree higher education (Bachelor's degree) in the Physiotherapy field of study, OR
  • A higher professional education (DiS) in the Certified Physiotherapist (Diplomovaný fyzioterapeut) field of study, OR
  • A full secondary vocational education in the Rehabilitation Worker (Rehabilitačný pracovník) or Rehabilitation Assistant (Rehabilitačný asistent) field of study.
• A minimum of one year of professional practice in the field of physiotherapy.
• Proficiency in the Slovak language (both spoken and written).
• Eligibility and qualification to practice the profession in the Slovak Republic.
• Successful completion and submission of the Application Form for Enrollment in Specialization Study.

Required Attachments to the Application Form

• A certified (notarized) photocopy of the diploma.
• An employer's confirmation/proof of prior professional healthcare practice.

The completed application form must be signed by the employer (or, in the case of an independent private practice license, by the relevant Self-Governing Region / VÚC department) and sent by the applicant to the address listed in the header of the form.

Important Notes

• Completeness: All requested data and fields in the application form must be fully completed.
• Logbook Requirement: Upon successful enrollment in the specialization study program, the student is strictly required to purchase a Record of Clinical Procedures and Other Professional Activities (commonly referred to as the Logbook).
