The University of Prešov invites students to participate in a unique international thematic school organized within the Q-Helix alliance. The programme Future Health Professionals – Medicine, AI and Society offers interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students interested in the intersection of healthcare, technology, and society.

 Programme Focus

The aim of the thematic school is to provide students with practical, interdisciplinary education in the strategic field of healthcare innovation. The programme combines lectures, workshops, simulations, and case studies focusing on:

• the use and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine,
• ethical and legal aspects of AI, including neuro-law,
• interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare,
• development of communication and teamwork skills,
• building competencies for future health professionals.

 Main Topics

Participants will explore topics such as:

• cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR),
• artificial intelligence in healthcare,
• ethical and legal issues related to AI,
• neuro-law,
• future challenges for healthcare professionals,
• responsible and safe use of AI technologies,
• communication and teamwork in interdisciplinary environments.

The programme also includes practical demonstrations, networking opportunities, and activities focused on intercultural exchange.

 Who Can Apply?

The call is open to students of all faculties and study programmes. Students from the following fields are especially encouraged to apply: medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, public health, psychology, law, social sciences, computer science, artificial intelligence, sport, healthy lifestyle, and biology.

 Financial Support

Selected participants will receive full financial support, covering:

• travel costs (Travel Grant),
• accommodation and subsistence (Accommodation and Subsistence Grant).

Participation is funded by the leader of the Q-Helix alliance – WSB University in Poland.
