Our Welcome Office Coordinator, Estelle Kosnansky, recently visited EPHEC University College in Brussels.

UNIPO and EPHEC are partners within the Q-Helix European University Alliance, which brings together 11 universities across Europe, united by a shared vision of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.

📍 Day 1 – Exchanging Ideas and Best Practices for International Student Support

We had the opportunity to visit EPHEC’s Woluwe Campus and meet with the International Relations Department. As our universities are of a similar size in terms of student population, exchanging experiences and best practices in supporting international students was particularly valuable.

📍 Day 2 – Exploring Erasmus+ Cooperation Opportunities

The visit continued at EPHEC’s second campus, dedicated to technology, health sciences, and teacher education, where we met with representatives responsible for international mobility.

Discussions focused on developing future Erasmus+ partnerships between EPHEC and UNIPO in several academic areas:

✅ Management (particularly Tourism)

✅ Teacher Education

✅ Health Care

Potential cooperation could include:

🔹 Student and staff mobility exchanges through Erasmus+

🔹 Short-term Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)

🔹 Teaching placements for EPHEC students in Slovak schools where French is taught

🔹 Internship opportunities in the field of health care

This visit provided an excellent opportunity to identify promising areas for collaboration and further strengthen the relationship between our two institutions, creating new international opportunities for both students and staff.
