The Department of Practical and Systematic Theology is a workplace whose long-term scientific and pedagogical work is an integral part of the Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University of Prešov. The composition of subjects guaranteed by the department forms the basic syllabus of the study of Orthodox theology at the faculty. Within the faculty, the department cooperates internationally with academic institutes operating in individual countries in Europe. In the field of science, the department organizes international scientific conferences and publishes the scientific peer-reviewed journal Acta Patristica.
