Abstract
Project management is now regarded as a key element for successful design. The present time has forced us to adopt management techniques recommended by project management. We use its advantages even in a period when we do not realize any project. The project is as good as its management. The real driving force is not management per se, but his ability to motivate others. In the transfer of this knowledge from theory, the article describes the interconnection of basic knowledge from our own practice and the theory confirmed or supplemented by the theory.

SUMMARY
Based on basic knowledge from practice, we can confirm that motivation is perhaps the strongest factor affecting the whole project from its planning to its implementation. In the area of motivation in the university environment, communication is a challenging task from the perspective of our project. The most numerous groups were "able and unwilling" and "unable and unwilling". In practice, it has been confirmed that the second group is unacceptable to the project manager because of the high investment in motivation and practically this characteristic group does not become part of the project team. The first group did not present such a risk of investment and potential failure of motivation, although motivating to participate in the project was the most challenging task. The starting point was motivation based on the initial and continuous implementation, when the addressed were motivated by the already realized individual phases with real results. The task of the project manager is to review the knowledge gained from previous projects, to find out what would motivate a team member and create an ambition to achieve a new goal level.
