Abstract

We describe the terminological and etymological content of spirituality in the article. Then we give ways to experience spirituality. This is derived from the objective and individual needs of each person as a bio-psycho-social-spiritual being. Finally, we explain the importance of spirituality as a means that is possible, and perhaps also necessary, to apply in human assistance to human beings.

Keywords

Spirituality, man, social work, help

SUMMARY

The aim of our contribution was to point out how spirituality can help and contribute to improving the situation as well as solving problems in a person's life. If the spirituality in the life of man is developed and directed in the right direction, he can deprive man of the hardships and pitfalls of earthly life, which are today very often caused by inverted values of the life that lead people out of the right path. Especially at a time when one recognizes the approaching departure from this world, he begins to balance his deeds, and thinks about what he could do differently, better and change some things in life, or avert some situations. Often, the parents themselves, neglected in their families, can be the root and core of this problem, which can stretch, transform, and transform into another person's life; therefore, spirituality can be considered not only as a prevention but also as a possible starting point for problems whose core stems from ignorance of faith and the need to realize the spiritual side of our being.
